Why the Name?
healthEbiker promotes the health benefits of all forms of safe biking, that’s why the “E” in our name sounds like a “Y” when you say it, because we think safe biking is healthy and we want you to experience and share/promote that health. Period.
Additionally, we do give a special nod to ebiking as the biggest revolution that has hit biking in many moons. Why? Because ebiking increases the population’s access to the health benefits of biking, from every angle imaginable. People who struggle to bike up hill can get started and get motivated to enjoy the health effects of biking immediately through pedal assist. At the other end of the spectrum, people who are in shape to commute 50 miles to work but don’t have the time can shorten their commute time to something feasible on an ebike. Likewise with age, ebiking appeals to older and younger generations equally for different reasons. But both populations are inspired by ebiking in ways that widen population access to the health benefits of biking.
